Kings Cross Upgrade

Historically the "Cross" has been a centre for bohemian living and it remains a focus for Sydney’s nightlife, with a concentration of bars, clubs, shows, restaurants and cafes, catering for an intriguing mix of residents from all walks of life but before this project it was perceived as having an unsafe and unappealing public domain. Generally, the upgrade included widening and improving footpaths, new pavements, lighting, street furniture and street trees, and amendments to the carriageway layout and parking provisions as a result of which, the area is now undergoing a renaissance with the emergence of new businesses encouraged by the vibrant retail outlets in surrounding streets and strong residential property growth in the area.
